We have been guiding travelers over the glaciers of Alaska since 1999 and have continually refined our trips to offer the most rewarding experience. Whether you are looking for a short walk on the ice or to get your blood pumping with a full day experiencing the vertical world of ice climbing, we have a trip for you. Join us every day from June through September.

Valdez Glacier Hike
About 4 hours Tour Cost - $65
Rated "easy"
9:30 am or 2:30 p.m.
After getting fitted into crampons, take a shuttle to the parking area at Valdez Glacier. The guide will row the group in a raft over to the face of the glacier where we venture onto the ice. We will spend about 2 hours on the glacier ice with a short rest and a snack. Look for goats, bears, and Bald Eagles. Also, look for artifacts from the gold rush days. We rate this trip as being "easy" and is suitable for anyone interested in hiking, although it does have some variable terrain.

Worthington Glacier Hike & Ice Climb -
All Day (About 3+ hours climbing and 2 hours hiking)
Tour Cost - $129 Rated "Moderate"
Half-day Sampler Available for $99
For the more adventurous soul. Get fitted into the crampons at the Pangaea Adventures shop before taking the van shuttle through keystone Canyon and over Thompson Pass. A short hike brings us out to the climbable sections of the glacier. Please bring a lunch and dress in layers. The guide will teach basic climbing techniques and set up top ropes for safety. Each person will get a couple of tries climbing the glacier ice wall. We also venture off on a short hike further onto the glacier before taking a second round of ice climbing on a different wall.

Worthington Glacier Hike -
About 5 Hours
Tour Cost - $99 Rated "Moderate to Strenuous"
Departs at 9:30 am and 2:30 p.m.
Meet at Pangaea Adventures to get fitted into crampons. We take our van up to Worthington Glacier via Keystone Canyon and Thompson Pass. Worthington Glacier is more strenuous than Valdez Glacier and quickly increases in elevation. We hike for about 2 hours, take a lunch break, and then hike back to the base of the glacier. Participants may arrange to meet at Worthington glacier with advance notice.

Keystone Canyon Rafting Add-on
Adds 1 hour to a Worthington Glacier hike or climb

This has become a very popular option...
The itinerary is the same as listed above except that we raft Keystone Canyon on the way back to Valdez to end the day with some extra excitement. A great multi-sport trip. Worthington Glacier offers great views and varied terrain. Challenge yourself and get rewarded with a one hour rafting trip. Participants may arrange to meet at Worthington glacier with advance notice.
